Verymaine.com is a website that brings sellers and buyers of Maine vacation real estate together.  

2. Do you accept advertising or paid listings?

We have several modestly priced advertising options. Contact us for information. Posting listings is free to both brokers and owners.  

3. Who owns verymaine.com and what are the plans for the future of the site?
Verymaine.com is owned by a Maine family that enjoys shopping for Maine real estate. We have several ideas for the future of this site, but for the time being, we're focused on building a great website that helps sellers sell Maine real estate and buyers find the property of their dreams! 

4. How much traffic does verymaine.com get?
As of March 2007, we're averaging over 12,000 page views a month from people who are searching on google, yahoo, and MSN with phrases such as "maine vacation property", "maine land for sale" and "maine real estate."  It's hard to say if we'll find you a buyer, but we do have a lot of website traffic from people looking for Maine real estate (plus we're FREE!)

Questions about posting
your property:

1. Who can post a property on verymaine.com?

Brokers, agents and owners are invited to post property listings so long as it is for Maine vacation real estate.
 

2. How do I add my property

Fill out this very short form. You can add your photos and text of your Maine vacation property as soon as your account is set up, typically a day or less. There is no limit on the quantity of listings you can add. The only requirement is that the properties are vacation-type properties.
 

3. My photos are not showing up. What am I doing wrong?

We're working on improving the photo upload section because several people have said it is the one section of verymaine.com that is not intuitive when using it for the first time. In the mean time, here are step by step instructions for photo posting:

4. How to upload photos:

A) Log in to verymaine.com and click on “Add” listing if you do not yet have a property listed on verymaine.com. Otherwise, click on "Modify" to edit your existing listing.

B) Fill in standard text information and continue to the image section at the bottom of the screen.

C) Click on “Upload” in the “Image Manager” section. View example

D) Click on “Browse” to locate your photo on your computer. You can upload up to 10 photos on this screen. View example

(Note: Maximum file size for each photo is 200k. If one of your photos exceeds the limit, you'll get an error message telling you which photo is too big. We can help resize the image if you like - e-mail us at info@verymaine.com)

F) Enter a short photo caption for each photo and click Save. View example

G) In the area above the image manager, there is a list that begins with “Preview Image” followed by “Image #1” through “Image #9” Use the drop-down menus to choose the picture and order you would like. The preview image is the image that is seen in the search results. Most people will choose their best photo for the preview image. View example

To modify photos
In the “Image Manager” at the bottom of the screen, choose the image you would like to modify and then select “Modify.”
You can also click on “View All” to see all of your photos.
To delete a photo, choose it from the drop-down menu and click “Erase.”
